I have another concern about AI.
I recently shared a post about an attorney receiving a 100-page commercial agreement for a high-priority deal, with a tight deadline and no room for redlines.
In the comments, someone mentioned how these high-pressure situations are the best training grounds for attorneys.
That got me thinking about AI again.
AI will replace a lot of the drafting, reviewing, critical thinking, and even creative aspects of legal work.
It will also reduce many of those stressful, high-pressure situations where we practice those skills.
That’s not a bad thing necessarily.
I'm all for AI reducing stress, toxic work conditions and bringing more balance overall.
But isn't adversity the place where we learn how strong and resilient we actually are?
Where we learn that we can perform under pressure?
AI is advancing, and I’m not knocking it - I’d be lost without it.
I’m also not advocating for working late nights, weekends, and work-life imbalance.
But for attorneys, learning to handle uncomfortable situations isn’t optional - it’s essential.
Like it or not, growth happens outside of your comfort zone.

Would love to know where people think the balance is.
